Accounting Associate
Regis Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our team. This is a full-time position located in our Morton Grove, IL manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for the execution of day-to-day accounting activities related to Cash, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets & Accumulated Depreciation, and Accounts Payable sections of the Balance Sheet.
Responsibilities:
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Processing cash collections from customers
- Monitoring short-term credit and delinquent bad debt
- Determining capitalization and categorization of property and equipment purchases
- Administering company credit card purchases
- Processing payments to suppliers serving the entire company
- Processing sales and use tax payments to states
Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Abilities:
- Accounting training, with at least a high school diploma, and a college degree preferred
- Quantitative aptitude for problem-solving and understanding transaction process flows
- Capable and willing to drive own automobile to the local bank branch (<2 miles) and other errands
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe, plus ERP systems (SYSPRO experience a plus)
- Understanding of fundamental Sales and Use Tax principles (Preferred)
- Competencies: attention to detail, organizational skills, teamwork, collaboration, verbal and written communication skills, project and time management, and independent judgement
