When outsourcing, there are many factors to consider when choosing a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) partner. Innovator companies should give thought to choosing a CMO that provides a dedicated Project Manager. A Project Manager is the customer's advocate and voice within a CMO's internal groups and can ensure a successful outcome for timeline, budget, and quality.

A Project Manager (PM) is the advocate for the customer within the CMO. At Regis, Project Managers spend a lot of time getting to know our customers and their needs to find out what they feel would make the project successful. This could include timelines, quantity, quality, and any project specific requirements. The PM shares that information with our analytical, production, and quality groups to make sure that everyone is working to best meet our customers’ needs.

Project managers are also the customer’s main contact within the CMO; so they keep customers updated on the status of a project, proactively watching for anything that may arise that could become an issue for the project and discussing how to address these items.
